Toddler development: 21 to 23 several weeks

As the child approaches 24 months old, you’ve observed his quickly improving

coordination, his elevated attention span, and the better grasp from the

world around him. Because he enters his 21st month, you will see individuals skills

becoming much more refined and polished.

For this age, your child can also be creating a bid for more independence. Encourage which do-it-myself spirit by

letting him tackle his own chores, like brushing his teeth or

gathering his toys.

The function of play.

Only at that age, playing is the toddler’s most significant activity and also the primary

way he’ll learn how to function on the planet. He might be self-centered right

now, but he’s gradually mastering the social skills he’ll use afterwards. Take

benefit of this developmental phase using these strategies:

Toddler development: 21 to 23 several weeks how you use her

• Use simple instructions.

Your child is beginning to know simple instructions, making for

more interesting play. Practice giving your child two-step instructions like

“Get the footwear and use them” or “Get the toys and insert them in this

box.”

• Encourage mimicking.

Toddlers this age prefer to imitate what adults do, for example sweeping

the ground and raking leaves. Consider giving your child her very own broom or

rake propose. Also demonstrate to her how she will put her toy to sleep

how you use her.

• Get outdoors.

Going outdoors gives your child the opportunity to run, climb, and jump. These

activities help her be coordinated and melt away energy. Take

benefit of park playgrounds.

• Host playdates.

Getting together with peers is the greatest method for your child to socialize. As

lengthy as they’re safe, allow them to learn how to play together, even when

it’s more parallel play than interactive play.
